quick post

sooo i'm on the dinasour of the home computer, so this is very short. I had a blast this weekend at the retreat. i LOVE my scrapbook friends. you all are sooooo COOL!!! it was a very long day, but geez, it went by so fast. and poor barb, becky, kathy, and nancy, they probally think i am crazy!!!! we did a class after the retreat. so much fun, but i was probally getting slap happy by then, lol.

i wanted to let you know that sign ups for the small town girls retreat have started and we are going to have a BLAST at this retreat. the projects are to die for!!!!

ok gotta go to walmart then to the 'new' house. i'm not sure how much of a help i will be today, but i HAVE to show up. maybe i'll take some really good food and they won't even notice if i'm not doing anything!!!! lol

Ittttttt'sssss Frrrrriiiiiiiiiiday!!!!!!!!!

and i am so happy!!! i am really happy! i can't wait for the retreat tomorrow, i just wish every thing was ready for it! oh well i have allllll night. lol

Amanda and Neil signed on the house yesterday and started work last night. i think she is mad at me for not helping, but i have all this stuff to do. i have a life too! and we weren't expecting them to get it this soon. so i guess i will spent all day sunday there. i hope they are ready to paint, although i hate to paint, i hate to clean even more. last night mom and amanda was down in the basement in the shower drain and they found a SNAKE. a baby COPPERHEAD. uugghhhh. then they found a frog. lol. manda says they are getting the house sprayed next week! welcome to the real world. i really need to get my house sprayed too.
I think Markie is doing good in school, nothing bad yet, except for some comments from a stupid boy that better watch out or i will fix him. with one call. although i think markies friend (can't say boyfriend!) called him and took care of it, lol.
I really don't think i am gonna be able to go to california, i just can't seem to keep hope that maybe i will be able too.
My friend Therese and her husband Jared are adopting a sweet baby girl from guatmala (sp) and have been in the process for over a year. they got awesome news this week that it is nearing the final stages and they will probally get to bring her home in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait. she is so cute in her pictures and her name is Grace. Therese will be a great mommy! i can't wait to finally meet Grace in person.

Procastinator...........

that is me. big time. the best of the best. ok so I have to get my classes ready for the retreat classes this weekend. i have to have examples of the classes and kits for the sept 8th retreat by saturday too. AND i have been wanting to submit for the piggy tales dt for along time and guess when that deadline is? friday. when did i start? monday, this week. why? because i work better under pressure. BUT not this MUCH pressure. so i do have 2 of the three lo's done. i still have to do a card and a altered project. so here is my delemia-- i don't have to use piggy tales product on the last lo, so do i just use one of my recent lo's and then do a altered project and card and relieve some of the STRESS, or go ahead and do a third lo with totally all piggy tales? or get the rest of my stuff done and then see where i'm at and do what i feel like doing then. that sounds good to me.
Basic Grey came in the store yesterday. didn't go in yesterday, i have to get this stuff done!!!
Me and amanda went and looked at the baptist church in jackson and at candlelabra's at busy bee's candles. since i got married at 1st baptist in jackson and busy bee's did my candles, it felt kinda wierd, lol. i want to get as much of this stuff done now so we can get what we/she wants and don't have to settle for things if they are already booked. kwim?

Piggy Tales!!!!!

Almost Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!!! although we are having friends up for supper and my house is a diaster, totally. Why am i the only one who does anything. i have tried to leave it dirty (which it is!) and messy (it is) to see if anyone will help me. NO. NADA. i asked mark to take out the trash, please, because it had food in it and it was really gonna stink if it wasn't taken out. NADA. still there this morning. granted it is not very hard to do and i could just do it myself like i do ALL the time, but i thought he might help me once. no. nada. so i do that this morning. then chloe pee'd in the hallway. uuugghhh. yes i took her out way to early last night, yes i didn't take her out as soon as i got up, yes she has a urinary tract infection. and yes she pee'd in my hall. i spanked her (not hard, she is a princess you know) just so she knows she is not suppose to do that. i run to get paper towels and about cut my hand off on a knife that was suppose to be put up by Markie last night after i begged her to put the dishes up in the dish washer. )which by the way is one of her only jobs, that and folding the towels.) instead of putting them in the wood block she lays them on top of the freezer BY the block. soooo she is mad at me because i woke her not-so-happy butt up 600am to put 3 little knifes into the wooden block where they belong. oooohhhhh can you say mad? and i'm glad. then she says 'don't get mad at me cause YOUR dog did something wrong.' WTH. ohhhhhhhh! so then not that i hadn't yelled enough, i yelled at her for taking my clothes out of the nice dryer and throwing them on the couch where they are now nice and wrinkled. poor thing had to wash her own clothes. for shame. her awful mother won't go into her dangerously messy room and collect all the clothes strung everywhere and take them and wash them, even though some of them are perfectly clean i might add. (breathe) sooooo tonight i am going home and cleaning house cause i invited my very nice friends up for supper tomorrow night and i can not let anyone in the front door with the house looking the way it does. BUT. BUT. BUT. why do i have to do it all. oh well. so here's my plan. (sorry if you are reading this and you are thinking, this lady is crazy!!! but i'm pretty sure the only one reading is penne, my gooooood friend penne, lol!) tonight i am going to clean, clean, clean and clean some more. and when i'm scrapbooking when mark comes home from work and there is no supper, well, sorry i forgot. and markie is gonna be very upset when she can't go out this weekend. to bad. i'm done. sorry for the rant.

so i just read my post. sorry if you read it. it is a total b%t$* post and i am sorry. i would delete it, but boy did it feel good. i think i will leave it there, just for a reminder. lol

No Title, Not Very Creative Today

Well i had a 3 day weekend. Man i love those!!!! didn't do anything to exciting. Well, i spent most of the day saturday at S&S getting things ready for the aug 25th retreat and for the small town girls retreat on Sept 8th. Sunday me and mom took markie to goodies and bought her some school clothes. she is a bear to shop with, let me tell ya. she doesn't like the clearence racks (wth??? i'm not sure she is my child!!) so we usually don't agree on anything. But Sunday was a little different. she got several shirts and pants and we all agreed on them!!!!! yeah! that made my week! Monday i was off from work and i had to take Chloe to the vet. she ended up having a urinary trach infection and i dropped $140.00 on her, between her heart worm medicine, flea and tick, and her 2 pills and spray she has to have for the uti. poor baby. she is still not feeling 100%. after the vet we went by s&s and chloe entertained anyone who came in. she is such a sweet dog. i hope she didn't bother anyone. she got so tired she was dragging around the store. poor baby.

ahhhh, markie starts school TOMORROW!!!!! yippe!!! i think she is ready too. i hope so.

Planned activities include:
1-2pm Technique Bazaar ~ Free for participants
2-2:45pm Class with Cynde
3:00-3:45pm Class with Nikki
4:00-4:45pm Class with Penne
5:00-6:30pm Class with Angela

6:30pm Supper

7:15pm~12:00am Time to work on purchased kits
with the help of instructors all evening.

First eleven people to sign up for all four classes
and supper receive a free gift.

Technique Bazaar will consist of learning new techniques that will be included in the classes and kits that will be for sale by each instructor. Techniques that will be included, but not limited to, are Distressing, Inking, Ranger products, glueing, using stencil’s, sewing on your pages, and more. If you have anything you are wanting to learn, please let Rona know and she can pass it on to us and we will be sure to cover it!

Classes offered will be each teacher’s own creation and examples will be displayed several weeks in advance. These will be taught in a classroom like environment and if you choose all four classes you will be able to stay in the same seat for each class.

Supper will include bottomless homemade spaghetti, seven layer salad, garlic bread, chocolate eclair and strawberry lemonade or tea. Cost is $6.00. Snacks will also be served during the evening. This will be a surprise!

We will also be purchasing t~shirts to sell. If you are interested and want to make sure you get your size please tell Rona or email me at cyndesharok@hotmail.com and I will make sure you get one. I am estimating the cost of the t~shirts will be less than $10.00.

This retreat is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I hope you will considering coming and enjoying a evening of fun with friends that enjoy the same hobby as you do! Hopefully this is a first of many more to come!!

Sign up's will be August 25th at the retreat. I'm so looking forward to this!!!!! I really enjoy spending time with you guys. i'm hoping this will be a little more laid back than the regular monthly retreats and i will have more time to hang out!!!!!

So I Was Off Yesterday.....

and i felt like i got alot done in my scrapbook room. but then i went into my bedroom and seen all the stuff on my bed that i took out of there, and i'm not to sure. i do have my desk top back in my room and i shouldn't have to use the kitchen table for a while. i just don't know what to do with all the boxes full of stuff. i really am trying to organize, but my add mind is hendering it. but i do have light at the end of the tunnel. read on....



so amanda and neil are moving ahead with the loan on the house. they did put a down payment down, well neil did. for all purposes, it is NEIL'S house and not amanda's, but when they get married it will be both of theirs, lol. They went and got their appliance's last night and got a really good deal with 18 months same as cash. they are doing a great job and neil is really level headed and amanda is really trying too! lol. they got a stove, refrigerator, and a washer and dryer. wish we could go ahead and start painting, but it will be getting cooler outside, so maybe waiting is a good thing. I am very proud of both of them and I feel they are ready for this and are looking at it in a good way. Neil is a great worker and amanda had been putting in alot of hours herself. i just hope she remembers she NEEDS to return to college. i understand if she wants to take a year off, if that is what she is gonna do. but i want her to go back.



so that brings me to more room for MY stuff!!! with amanda moving out her room will be available. now who is gonna get it. Markie wants to tear down the wall and make her room bigger (not gonna happen), Mark wants it for his stuff (hmmm, we'll see), and i want it for my extra stuff. now i don't have a very good arguement since i do already have a scrapbook room, but I NEED MORE ROOM. i think if i can at least get rid of the computer i will be happy, so that is what i am going for, and maybe alittle of the closet space. i don't think that is to much to ask for.
we'll see.

Shhhhh! don't tell

Rona I posted this, lol. she got a bunch of stuff in today, like Technique Tuesday, 7 gypies, may arts (cooooollllll ribbon), Luxe, and Stampin Station. fun, fun, fun!!!! i think i am feeling sick and i need to go home! i really need a sanity day (a day i can do what I WANT TO DO!) i think i will work on that today.

i was up at 4 am this morning, what the heck? so i started scrapbooking and it was 540 before i knew it! geeezzzzz. now i am gonna have to go home and take a nap when i get off, not. i will be at stamps and scrapbooks checking out that new stuff!!!!!

Markie is gonna meet me for lunch. she loves her new car and will do anything for me that involves driving.

Had a Great Weekend

We went camping this weekend, which was HOT but nice. we went to Mermac State Park up by sullivan mo. it was a really nice park with over 200 sites , and thank goodness we had reservaitons, cause they were FULL! it would be a great place to camp and float. very pretty river, water clean and camp ground nice. we decided to camp here because we are trying to do a thnig that mo conservation is doing where you camp in 5 state parks you get something, so we have one more park to go!!! plus we stayed there so we would be sorta close to st louis. we went to a ducks unlimited appreciation day at anheuser busch saturday. talk about very nice. it was. great food, good drinks, and we got to get our picture taken with a clausdale (i CAN not spell that, think big very pretty horse!) It was a great weekend!!!

Markie got her car on friday and we left right after adn she went with us. she didn't complain very much all weekend, like i might of thought. she sure is lovin' that car now though. lol. she starts volleyball this evening. she will be a bear cause she is outta shape. that'll teach her to lay around all summer, or not. lol

Amanda is busy working, and working, and working. She said this weekend was nuts at new york and company with the tax free weekend. she worked alot. her and neil are getting excited about the house. she is gonna go look for some furniture tomorrow at a thrift shop that the lady they bought the house from works at. i hope she finds something!!!

i so want to go to my cousins daughters wedding in california next month, but i'm not sure i'm gonna be able to swing it. with the new car and all, i might need to stay here and work. i wish i was rich!!!!! lol

been thinking more about the 'small town girls with big idea's' retreat september 8th. i sure hope it turns out like i'm hoping. i have lots of plans!!!!

on a sad note, a girl on the veggie site that i always loved to read her posts and comments died this past weekend. so unexpected and fast. thoughts and prayers for her family. remember life is short and you just never know.

One More Day

to get up and come to work. that really is the hardest part of the whole day....getting outta that nice comfy bed and taking a shower and heading to work. and throw in a dull headache and ti makes it 10x worst. but i'm here now and i still want to go back home to my comfy bed! oh well. i'd really like to go home and scrapbook. but my house is soooooo awfully disorganized, that is not even a possibility, lol.



we're gonna sign for the loan on the car today, i hope i can get mark over to do it. maybe we can get the car sooner than friday so markie can drive it some before we go camping this weekend.

Do I or Don't I???

Well we went and looked at a car for markie yesterday. very cute car, it's a 2003 chevy cavalier. she absolutely loves it. Mark went to the lake with Steve and told me to take my dad with us to look at it. He would of had to go anyway, mark doesn't know alot about cars. But my dad, well he looks at EVERYTHING, which is a good thing. when he got done the guy asked him what he needed to fix, lol. and amazingly dad didn't find anything wrong with, well something minor the guy is gonna fix. the only thing i don't like about it is it soooooo small. you know me, i like big open spaces, and this car is small. can you say clostrophobic (i can't spell it, i'm sure!). but this is what she wants, and when i was young i loved the smaller cars too. if i could of gotten the car seat in and out of the back seat of my mustang i probally would still have it!!! lol this is such a hard decision for me. Mark will probally go along with whatever, esp after i whine and markie whines, lol. markie is driving amanda's old car, oh the horror! lol markie worries what everyone thinks and can't stand teh car. amanda never did. she was happy with whatever. NOT MARKIE. so do i give in? i do think i can hold it leverage over her. you know, if you make anything below a C, the car sits. and other things, but the grades are the biggie. she could care less. she can do so much better in school, but she won't. uuuggggghhh. and if i do get it for her, what about amanda. is she gonna be mad that we never bought her a cool car? or is she mature enough and into her own things now, not to even care? do i throw myself into helping her at their 'new' house so she won't even notice? uuugghhh, it's hard being a parent. i think i know why my parents only had ONE child. Please, give me any advice you may have. i need it.

So Rona hasn't gotten anything new in yet, except for a reorder on bazzill with a few new taggie things. seems like after the last show some of the stuff beat us home! so what is the deal. Rona says any day things should be rolling in. I CAN"T WAIT! she's thinking the may arts ribbon should be coming in soon. That booth is always sooooo fun. and we ordered sooooo much. us three were like kids in a toy shop. ohhhh, look at this, oooohhhhhh look at this. i couldn't write fast enough!!!!!

so here's hoping that Rona gets a boat load of stuff today!!!!

What a awesome day!

Well. yesterday wasn't a good day. Markie rear ended someone in my expo, not really any damage but the people i think are gonna milk it for all they can. markie said that the light changed to green they started to go then stopped. she couldn't stop in time. that is what she told the cop, but the other couple (maybe 30) told the cop that the light did NOT change. Markie did not get a ticket, thank goodness. when the man (who acted like he was 16 but really was about 30) got out of the car he started yelling and using the f work over and over. called her a f young teenage girl, and on and on. she thought he was gonna punch her. ok so she got a really good life lesson, i hope.

today she started working at burger king by sfmc. she HATES it. welcome to the real world. lol

Amanda and Neil have found a house they are gonna put a down payment on. it is really cute. it is between biehle and perryville. they are really ready!


ok on to my awesome day today. no scrapbooking yet. but this is almost better! *gasp* well it all started out innocently. Markie needed some black shoes for work. now i did not want to pay to much for them, i don't think she will last long. lol so we went to payless in the mall, but they were not open so Markie suggested we go to penneys, since they were open. we found some, 20 bucks, ok, pretty good price, but when i went to pay for them they were ****12.00 and some change***** YEAH!!!!!! then the girl told me the most sweetest thing----all items with a pink sticker was 40% even MORE!!!! OMG! so i sent markie on her way to work and i headed to the housewares, my clothes, and purses. WELL i got some king sheets and 2 xta pillowslips, 4 shirts and a pair of pants. Yeah! oh yeah, i got markie 4 bra's,and 5 pairs of underware too all for 100 bucks!!!!!! totally awesome. so i was hungry after all this since i hadn't eaten anything so i went and got me a hamburger thru burger king. shhhh don't tell markie, i don't think she saw me, lol. then i went back to PENNEY"S and met my mom and friend wanda there. lol. this time i went to the kids clothes. i got some sweet baby boy clothes for alisha's baby and some really cute dresses for sydney. since i paid almost nothing for them, i got a boat load. really. then me and mom went to check out the dressy dresses. Mom found her one for amanda's wedding that is really pretty. i found one too, i will have to loose some weight, but i need to anyway! now sit down for this. mom's dress was 10 bucks and mine was 4.00 (after a 10.00 off coupon!) hoot ta hooo!!!! 4 flippin bucks. i will spend more money on loosing weight than on the dress!!! lol. it is really pretty. no one will know i paid 4 dollars for it, but since i have a big mouth, they will anyway!!! but i love a great bargain!! now i better get off here and go HIDE all my bargins. lol or not, i saved soooooo much money!!!!!! and it was things i NEEDED. yeah, that's it.

To Much for This Small Brain!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooo excited. i have been wanting to do a retreat for a loooonnnggg time and it's finally coming together!!! Rona has given us the go ahead to do a 11-12 hour retreat on September 8th. my mind has been going in circles ever since!!! So i've already told you Nikki and Angela is gonna teach too, but i have been brainstorming the 'little' things, lol. here is what i have in store for who ever dare comes!



supper--- my cousin's sister's (did you get that?) awesome spagetti, garlic bread, layer salad (very yummy) chocolate eclair dessert (my mom's single most requested dessert at family reunions, and i hope she will make it for me!) and to drink strawberry lemonaide. of course we will have some goodies to snack on during the evening and night, but i'm still thinking about that. another thing i have always wanted to do was t-shirts. i called a very nice lady Rona referred today and she is working on the artwork and specific's and will get back to me. the cool thing is these will be less than 10 bucks!!!!!! i'm such a t-shirt girl!!!!!

Well Blow Me Away!!!!

I can not believe it. Markie got a JOB. this isn't all that amazing, BUT.... We talked about what she would wear the evening befor her interview. ya know she IS a teenager, so i say 'wear nice jeans and a polo shirt'. now here is the good part, she says 'like i have on now?'. yes, perfect. ok i'll just wear this. um no, it is dirty. ok i'll wash it. ok. ok fast forward to 15 minutes until her interview. she comes into my office at work, THIRTY minutes away from home, with, sigh, tight capri jeans, and *gasp* a TANK TOP. wth. i'm at work, yelling at her as loud as i can and not draw attention. didn't we talk about this? am i dreaming? wth. Now here is where i'm BLOWN AWAY. she got the job. i really wanted to go to Burger King and tell them i would never send my child to a interview like that. ggeeeezzzzzzzzzhhhhhh. ok so i was hoping to teach her a lesson, but how am i gonna, SHE GOT THE JOB. aaaggghhhh. that was about all of my afternoon. i was exhausted after that. lol. went home and cleaned a very little and just zoned out in front of the tv with chloe, who by the way is back to being MY baby. rant over.

Tuesday Tuesday

Yep it's tuesday. Markie has a job interview at Burger King today. She is driving me very crazy. she is wanting a new car and will not stop bugging me about it. hopefully she will get a job and have other things on her mind. i do want her to have a new car, i really do. and we will find her one, maybe just not TODAY! lol

Chloe is still being a crazy dog. she got into my green apple and some deer jerky last night. so at 230 this morning i was cleaning up after her, won't go into anything graffic, lol.

I really wanted to do some scrapbooking last night and i had big plans, but alas i went to bed at 830. so very tired still. i did manage to make it to s&s and pick out retreat class materials for one class. I plan on doing a baby page. i hope there is interest in it. on my way home i was thinking about how i can't wait til amanda is ready to have a baby (which i can, but i love babies and kids in general, when they are not mine!!!! lol) and i thought back on all the can't waits of my life. ya know, can't wait til i get my license, can't wait til i turn 21, ....get married, ....have a baby, ......the baby sleeps thru the night, .....the baby walks, .....goes to school, .......graduates, .......gets married, and now i'm at :gasp: can't wait to be a grandma?????? oh my. let me rethink this!!!!! lol i guess this all stems from amanda's friends. when she was talking of wedding plans and her bridesmaids, Tonya at Precious Memories (who was amanda's teacher a couple years ago) asked amanda if any of her bridesmaid's planned on getting pregnant. well of course not!! well guess what, God had other plans! now 2 girls are pregnant and i dreaming of when amanda will have one of her own. whew. crazy, i am! i will just have to spoil Alisha's and Cheryl's babies. they will make the bestest mommies. they are sooooo sweet!!! makes me cry. i have known these girls for a long time. ok enough.

so anyone have any suggestions on what kind of class you would like? a summer one? winter one? techniqueky one? (ok i know that is not a word, but isn't it pretty!)

Hmmm maybe we'll use some stickles paint, i did get some freebies from our cutie pootie sales rep at Ranger. lol Alien, said Allen. i asked. lol so i like to flirt with the young boys, i'm a old fat lady and i've dreamed of the day i could do this and not get into any trouble. lol JUST KIDDING. i did not flirt. well not much. at. all. nope. not. me.

wheew. CHA was a Blast!

I'm back to work today and am very tired. got home last night about 930-1000. No one had done a thing at my house all weekend. it didn't help that i left the kitchen table trashed with my scrapping supplies, lol. No one bothered to give chloe (my shitz tzu) a bath either. so guess what i did at 1000PM last night when i was exhausted. yep, gave the puppy a bath. someone is gonna pay for that. as they say, pay backs are H$((. lol. AND Chloe doesn't hardly want to have anything to do with me. little twirp. she is MAD at me. and it is hurting my feelings. she took to biting while i was gone to, not just nips as puppies do, but hard left me a bruise on my arm bite. She is making me pay for leaving her at home i guess. now i'm not to sure which is my favorite child. the girls may have a chance now, lol.

OH, did you want to know about CHA?
oh OK then. we arrived thursday about 11 at Navy Pier. such a fun time. then we ventured the streets of chicago to find out hotel. well we found it all right. it was awful. i can stay almost anywhere, but here we were afraid of walking into our hotel when the sun went down, if ya know what i mean. soooooo Rona got on the phone with hotels.com and explained the situation and they found us another hotel (which cost more $$$ but we did not care!) and it was AWESOME. a sheraton suite. very cool and very worth it. checked in then went to the convention center where we eat some free food and attended some sneak peeks. then went home and crashed. awwww a great night sleep.

Friday morning we went back to the convention center and convinced two other ladies they could ride with us. well we got just a little lost and found our way after a few minutes. they were really nice and they continued to ride with us the other two days, even thou we got them lost!!!!! lol Rona ordered http://www.fancypantsdesigns.com/store/index.php? fancy pants and wow!!! just you wait. it is awesome! stop by the store cause Rona got some samples for being one of the first 25 customers!!!! see all that whining i did to order Fancy Pants first paid off!!! lol then she went and did more orders. let me see if i can remember them all. There was Cloud9, Heidi Grace, Heidi Swapp, Cropper Hopper, Some new Tim Holtz stuff that is awesome, and then i lost Her and Nikki and walked around getting catalogs and doing a few make and takes. it was a very long day. i ran into Giboney and Brandon of Piggy Tales. they do great make and takes and i did 2 of theirs. i just love them all there. so sweet. and the products they have coming out are awesome too!!!! we made it back to the suites (that sounds so cool, lol) and did some brainstorming and did some more orders to turn in the next day.

Saturday and Sunday Rona turned in more orders and just let me tell you we are getting some awesome stuff!!!! let me just end with this. i requested alot of stuff soooooo I have decided to do a 11 hour Retreat on September 8. Nikki has agreed to teach also along with Angela (i can not remember her name at the moment, dang it!) but she is awesome. She is gonna stitch on some of her layouts for the classes and we'll bring in our sewing machines (which means i will have to take the one i have outta the box, lol) So mark you calendars, get a babysitter, send the Husband off fishing and come scrapbook with us. There will be more info on this later, just thought i would throw it out there!!!

just a lazy day here in se missouri. went to cape with markie and eat at taco johns, that is where she wanted to go. ? i think she is sick, lol. she was in agreat mood andwe got along great!!! no whining on either of out part. she is hot after a new car. not new,new, just new to her. i hope we can swing one for her. she hates amanda's old buick, who can blame her. we'll see. made a great supper. steak, fresh green beans with new potatoe's, bacon and onion, fresh cucumbers, yum, and fresh corn on the cob. can't get much better than that. got lots to do. hopefully will be b ack tomorrow. cynde
