Challenge Week of Nov. 18th

Ok so this is a Holiday week. Lets make this one easy! Lets do another 1 page layout. use what you have in your stash. anything you want.

now, lets talk about next weeks challenge. this one will be harder since we have had 2 easy ones in a row. You will have a whole week to think about this one!

Next weeks challenge is do a TWO page layout using your stash but use NEW THANKSGIVING pictures from this year! you may buy 1 new thanksgiving item, wether it be patterned paper or embellishments, but only ONE thing!


so i see that one person completed last weeks challenge, but i don't know who yet! It was about 830 last night and i realized i hadn't done my own challenge yet! so i made a very simple layout. i will try and post it tonight. i just used a fancy pants overlay and some of the new felt thingys and viola! a page! oh i slapped a picture of me and amanda at rain forrest cafe in downtown disney on it too! lol. oh and some bling. can't forget bling! i guess i need to journal. dang it! i forgot to journal. that is the MOST important thing!!! i will do that tonight!!

I'm Almost Done!!!

Yes that is right, me, Cynthia Kay Sharrock is almost done with my Christmas shopping!!!! this has never happen in the last 17 years as a wife and mother, that i have been done with Christmas shopping this early!! i am loving it. AND i shopped all weekend long. 3 days. every day. and i got things done around my house too. not big things, but washing some stuff, sweeping, vaccuming. YEAH for me! i am sooooo happy to be off that medicine. it really drug me down.

so friday me and my friend Debbie and her daughter Krista went out to eat at one of my fav's Applebee's. yummy! then we went to Simply A Dollar. i love that store. i had just been the night before, but i had to go back. i spent $144.00!!! OMG! i did buy this metal containers for the wedding for 5 bucks and bought 6 packages. these are those things that we also use for our scrapbook storage, lilke target had in there $$ spot but theirs had magnets on them. anyway, you get 24 for 5 bucks and they are made by wilton. i also got some hard heart candy (wilton again) that we will put in the containers. sooo cool. soooo cheap. and i also got 4, yes 4 idea's for classes. did i say i love that place. well i do!!!!! i also got 40 small wire candle holders for decorations for the wedding. Amanda is so confused as to what we are decorating with. she must trust me, it will be ok!!!! lol. i keep telling her if i buy something she doesn't like to just tell me. i think she is afraid too!!! lol

so then we went to petco cause miss priss (as in princess) had a spa day. she got her hair cut (really short, she had knots and was so uneven) her teeth brushed, her butt done (that gross stuff), her nails cut, ya know a puppy spa day!!!! lol me and debbie saw that they were gonna have a fashion show the next day, so we signed chloe and zoie up for it! i will post pictures when i get them from amanda, me and debbie both forgot our camera's. lol. they were so cute!!! after the fashion show we went to hobby lobby and scored some 80% off stuff. then i bought some other stuff that is now on sale. sooo off to hob lob at lunch to return some stuff. only 6 bucks, but 6 bucks is 6 bucks! oh forgot we went to kohl's to and got some cool new christmas stuff!! yeah! i can not wait to decorate! to bad i have to work friday!

yesterday me, my mom and markie went shopping. Markie scored most of her christmas yesterday. she got a camera and that pretty much is it from me. when you like expensive things, that's what happens!!! lol and boy does markie like the expensive stuff.

so i still have some for amanda and neil and the parents. and i'm pretty sure i know what i'm getting them. yeah!!!!

Charm Bracelet Swap!

Ok, here goes. I copied and pasted this from 2peas, since they have done this a couple times now, i figured they knew what they were talking about!


Charms Size – No larger than 1.5 inches

Each person’s charms they make/buy should all be alike (look the same).

No paper charms that would tear easily, unless they are laminated or reinforced and protected.

Charm must be attached with a lobster claw clasp or spring clasp.

Bag each charm individually

I will hold sign ups until Friday November 23rd at 5pm. That will give us 2 weeks to get our charms done.

We will exchange our charms at the December 7th Crop at Stamps and Scrapbooks at 9pm, or sooner in the evening if everyone is done, and there! if you can not be there you must make arrangements to get the charms to me by the 7th. if you do not, you will be excluded from the swap. sorry, but it is to busy of a time to try and get everyone their charms after the meeting!

Well Now.

I guess i am the only one updating my blog regularly. lets see who's not, that would be Nikki, Penne, and Angelia. Rona does a ok job updating her's but i am the WINNER. oh, you didn't know there was a competition? to bad, i'm the winner. lol
ok so really i'm not that bored that i have to dream up competitions, but dang those girls need to update their blogs more. i know they aren't that boring, lol.


You know i'm hating all the sad news in the papers these days. the young man from Fronha that got killed in a auto accident. and his cousin is now gonna face charges. i know it's the law, but that poor boy is gonna have to live with that for along, long time. i feel soooo bad for him. he was doing what alot of others of us have done and never have had to pay the price he will have to pay. I Pray for peace for all the families involved.

and call me crazy, but i feel bad for the teen from jackson who shot the other young boy. he is soooo young and now he will have to pay 30 years for something he did as a young boy and knew better, but doesn't really know the conequenses, kwim. don't get me wrong i think he should get some jail time, but 30 years is a bit much. i wish Morley Swingle would go after the REPEAT dui drivers the way he goes after a 16yo boy who was on drugs at the time of his crime. i'm sure we all know someone who has had REPEAT dui and are still driving. i know i do. and i think they should be in jail. get them there before another accicent happens. and these are GROWN people that have done it OVER and OVER and OVER. i'm not talking about the ones who have done it once. yes that is not a good thing, but we all make poor judgements BUT hopefully we learn from our mistakes and don't do it again. boy i really need to get off my soap box. i'm sure i made no sense.

i need a me day again. i've been taking those alot lately. lol

A Challenge!!!!

lol. well mark is home from going who knows how many miles to go deer hunting. he got home yesterday afternoon and by dark he had a deer. so why did he spend all that money, he could of just stayed home. oh wait, then he wouldn't of left and i wouldn't of got to spend all that glorious time to my self!!!! lol you know i try and compare his hunting to something i do. i guess scrapbooking is close. or shopping. wait, are those one in the same? lol seems like all i have been doing lately is shopping and not doing any pages! lol. but i have decided i MUST start doing my pages. for me. and use up all this stuff i have been hoarding.

soooooo on that note, i think i will start a weekly challenge. i thought i would start it Sunday, that would be a new week, but no. we will start NOW. when i say we, i mean YOU and ME, ok? so since this is a short week, lets start with something easy and doable in 3 and a half days. Lets say a one page lay out and it will be due Saturday at midnight. oh ok, i'm not picky about time, but the next challenge will begin on Sunday.

ok, now i guess we should have details as how this will work. let me see what i can pull outta my hat.

Rainy, Rainy Tuesday

and i have to work, so it's a good thing.

mark called and said they are on their way home from deer camp. they didn't get a deer. dang. i was thinking they should stay til they got one! lol

i have my photography class tonight. i'm excited about it. he said we'll be talking about flash and more about better pictures. i can't wait. i really want to take a photoshop class too. not sure when i will be able to do that with the wedding stuff. speaking of wedding, lol, it is expensive!!!! even with me doing a lot of it! but sfmc is doin this thing where if you give them a name, addy, and ph number of a RN, CRNA, OT, PT, Pharmacist they will give you 25 bucks! so my cousin gave me several of her coworkers and people she knows. all that money will be used on the wedding. so if you are a one of these fine individuals and want to help a girl out let me know! lol i think all they do is call you, you say you aren't interested and that is it! and i can mark one more thing off my list!

Markie has her ultrasound in the am. i don't want anything to be wrong, but i want to know something! there has to be a reason for all of this yuck!

ummmm, i had panera soup and sandwich for lunch and the soup was soooo dang good on this rainy yucky day!!!!

Sunday Already?

I can't believe it. the end of my 4 days off. oh well! got some stuff i needed to get done, done. yeah!

Yesterdays retreat was great!! i had a blast. i hope everyone had a great time. our classes went way over, but the projects were awesome!! now to plan the next one!!

Chloe was sooooo happy to see me last nigth. she doesn't like being here by herself i don't think. lol. she doesn't let me out of her sight today. lol

Markie worked her first full day at culver's yesterday. she reallly likes it and likes the people. she told me this morning that she likes that everyone started at the same time and no one already knew everyone. some know people from school, but that is different. she is really getting along good with them too. she went to a girls house last night for a small party. that is good for her. she doesn't go to too many partys, which is a good thing, but i want her to get out too. i don't think at her other jobs she 'fit' in. everyone already knew everyone. burger king was too tense, i don't htink they know how to treat young kids. that is something that culvers seems to know. they let the kids know what they expect, but in a respectable and non condesending way. kwim? and American ice cream just didn't pay enough. she never knew what she made there, her boss never told her, but we figured it up and it was less than 3 bucks a hour. doesn't make sense. i haven't been there sense for that reason. that wasn't a good first job experience for markie, but i think it was a good lesson for her. but now she has this job, i hope she's learned something.

and as me and mark was leaving culvers the other night her boss followed us out, he hadn't a clue who we were, until we told him, and he was so nice. said markie was a very conciousience (sp) worker and if she did something wrong, she was very hard on herself. made us feel good! he also was concerned about her belly problems. we said we were worried since it was a new job and she already was sick. he seemed genuinely concerned. wheew. lol so all is good on the job front. YEAH!!!!!

well better get some things done around here. have a great sunday!

Clean Carpets!!

and wet! i forgot they would be wet afterwards! they aren't bad at all thou. and just when i thought i would spent the rest of the day cleaning, chloe needed to go to the vet. butt problems. don't ask, trust me when i say it is gross!

another beautiful day! i am loving it! i need to wash my sheets and hang them out. maybe tomorrow.

amanda's floor in her kitchen is done and we're going up this evening to help her move in the fridge and stove. after 3 months it's time!!!! i'm on a taco salad kick since i made it for work yesterday aso i'm gonna take up to her house tonight for supper. i'm gonna take it to the small town girls retreat on saturday for lunch too.

have you signed up for the retreat on saturday??? we're gonna have a great time and there is still seats available!!!! hope to see ya there!!

Me Thinks I

have friends that are crazy! ok so i couldn't think of anything else, lol. yeah, yeah i flubbed up, again. i posted on the s & s blog and wrote it wrong, but my sweet friends let me know about it!! : ). lol. they are good that way.

so what ya think about this awesome weather??? i LOVE it!!! so crisp adn clean and cool adn the trees are beautiful. i am lovin it. all except for the stupid time change thing. i hate it!!!! why can't we just leave it alone for goodness sake. no one i talk to likes it. i say lets vote on it! lol

so i had a great weekend. went to the crop, had some fun, ate some good food, talked with some cool people. enjoyed myself! saturday went to eat at culvers for family and friends day. really, really good stuff. Markie likes it, YEAH!!!! she doesn't however like working till 11 at night and getting back up the next morning. she has to do it 3 times this week and twice in a row. she has 30 hours this week. i think that is tooo much, but it is the first week being open so maybe it won't be that much all the time. but you know what? i did it when i was in high school. worked at good ole Sonic (with some cool people! hey Deb!) and i only made 1.45. yeah. 1.45. i still have some of the pay stubs. i think they may be in my hs scrapbook. back on subject, sorry, went to culvers with my cousin susan, aunt dean, and cheryl and heather and macy. we had a great time!! got me some pants at cj banks for 4 bucks!!! so what they are purple, they are a pretty purple and i like them!~!!! might wear them with a red shirt and red hat! JUST KIDDING. i am not that old yet. sunday i just hung out at home and did a few things and worked on save the date cards for the wedding. man, it is creeping up on us. only 7 more months!!

Yesterday mom's bosses sister (did ya get that?) works at cracker barrell and they have a friends and family day and you get so much off. me and mom went and i got 3 bags full of coooool stuff!! had to leave it in the car cause mark was home when i got home adn i just didn't feel like explaining myself. i get tired of it, lol. although he is leaving for deer camp on friday and he doesn't give a rat's ass about much right now, except for hunting!!!! pure bliss! lol.

i am hoping to get to take tomrrow off. the people are coming to clean my carpets. anyone have Biard's cleaning do it? if so let me know how it was. i have never had them professionaly cleaned and didn't know who to get.

plus i have to put up groceries we bought at sams on monday. lots of stuff. and bulk stuff. gotta find a place to put it. but i love buying in bulk, esp stuff like tomato sauce, tomato paste, green beans, you get the idea.

sooo i can't wait for the small town girls retreat!! the food. the fun. and i may have to take some classes myself!!! lol

Tonights The Night..............

that's the title to one of my fav Rod Stewart songs. i need to dig my cd's out (heck maybe some of my cassettes! lol) and listen to them. I love his voice and that twang only Rod Baby has. see that is something you might not know about me, i totally LOVE Rod Stewart. goes way back to jr high days and living in California. awhhh the good life, lol.

oh yeah, tonight is the night for Stamps and Scrapbooks Crop (see, i think i have ADD, i get so off topic!). ARE YOU GOING???? Please come. i love seeing all my scrappin' friends, even if i don't get alot done, i love to socialize!!!!! I think i will wear my pj's tonight. i'm feeling a little loungey, and my pj pants fit, unlike my jeans. uuuggghhh. i must go buy some new jeans. i think someone came into my house over the summer and shrank all my jeans. my shirts are even getting a little little. i sure wish they would stop doing that.

Tomorrow culvers has VIP day and families get to go and eat! yeah Markie has to work from 12-3. she doesn't want me going when she works, but uh, yeah that is when I WANT to go.

My cousin is also coming down from troy and we are going to go to the mall tomorrow afternoon. Her daughter is younger, maybe 6-7th grade ( i can't remember, isn't that awful!). anyway, it will be fun!!! so i am looking forward to my laid back weekend. i love them the best! Mark will be going to deer camp next weekend. they go somewhere up northwest of st louis. he always has a good time, and so do we!!! and next weekend is Small Town Girls Retreat so i am really looking forward to next weekend!!!!

awwww!

Chloe had a blast!!! she is soooo tired right now from barking and greeting everyone and hearing them say awwwwhhhhh. lol.

we didn't have too many trick or treaters this year, and most of them were older. i had one cute little guy. he was a scarecrow. sooooo cute! and then another lil girl was dorothy from oz. she had on the red slippers, sooo cute.

well markie went to work tonight, and i haven't heard from her. cross your fingers. she was sick again so i called the doctor and they did alot of blood test and they all came back ok. now if it continues she will have to have a ultrasound. uuuughhhh!

well i had my mammogram today. squiswh. ouch. but it all was good from what they said. thank goodness.

well bout time to turn the lights off and head to bed.

didn't get much done with my scrap stuff tonight, guess that will have to wait til tomrrow night.

Happy Halloween!!!

Well it looks like a awesome day for those trick or treaters for tonight!!! why did it seem when my kids were little that it always rained, was super cold, or even snowed? i was never prepared for it either. ya know, the year it snowed they had skimpy outfits (not houchie skimpy, lol and just where did that word come from, houchie?). guess i better go get some candy, the first time in years i haven't gotten my candy early. the trick or treaters may have a chance at the good stuff from my house this year! (we usually eat it before we can give it out!!)

Last night was the last night of my photography class. i LOVED it! i hated dragging my butt there, but once i was there, i was entranced. lol. he was a very good teacher and i recommend his classes to anyone. the advanced class starts in a couple weeks and i am looking forward to it. i have always wanted to do this, always. my dream is to take younger kids photo's all the way up to seniors in high school. i don't want to do weddings. to much pressure. i think i could do it, but that is a get it now shot and if you mess up, there is no going back!! and to be honest, i've seen some of those bridezilla's and momofbridezilla's. and i am sure i will be the latter in a couple of months!!!!

See That Puppy Up There?

well she is rotten. spoiled rotten. she knows when she is gonna be left all day when we go to work. she sulks in the morning when i'm getting ready. she is rotten. i wish i could stay home with her all day!!!! i am so tired of working. i guess i am going thru the mid life crisis stuff, lol. but i am just tired. tired of working, tired of taking care of everyone, tired, tired, tired. i just want to have a month off to do what i want. clean house, paint my house, scrapbook, go out to lunch when i want, where i want, take a road trip, walk in the park, ya know, fun stuff. i don't want to work!!!!! and everyone at work knows it!!! they probally think i am the meanest b!$#$ around. guess they better get used to it, cause that month probally won't be happenin' any time soon.

ok, so everyone has been saying they have been reading my blog. HOW FUNNY. boring ole me. and no one every posts a comment, except for my friend Penne!!! lol. but ya know, i find myself reading people's blogs i don't even know. why? don't know. i guess i like to know i am not the only one who has problems with teenagers. who thinks the way i do. who wishes teh same things i do. then i thought, what did we do before BLOG'S? I was reading someones blog and they said the same thing. they thought that maybe blogs are taking over the long ago tradition of meeting the neighbors in the backyard and talking over the fence kinda thing. hmmm. good thought. i don't know, just some deep thoughts. lol. (now you know how really silly i am!)

Yesterday we got lunch from My Daddy's Cheesecake. yummy. I had to go get it and that store/resturant is awesome!! never been inside their building, but it was cool!!! i want to go again soon and eat there. they had some of the yummiest looking treats. not sure how much they were, but we all need a treat sometimes!!!!

My good friend Debbie (hi debbie!) called me yesterday. she lost her furbaby lexi yesterday. makes me sad. lexi was getting old and it was a hard decision for debbie to make but she let her go on to a bigger and better place. how hard. i NEVER knew how much a pet can mean to you. and now look at me and chloe belle. oh and debbie, markie was sad when i told her about lexi. she even remembered her name!!! i was surprised. remember last week Amanda and Neil's dog Scout got hit by a car, well he is doing great. we took chloe up there sunday and they played together for awhile. it was funny. at one point scout ran over chloe. it was so funny. chloe was like, what the h&#$ was that?!?! lol Amanda called yesterday and he had gotten into stuff in the garage and tore a bunch of stuff up. we told her. well, now she knows! amanda also told me that Neils brother hit his dog (with his truck) yesterday and it died later in the day. poor Malibu. he was so unhappy anyway because of scout, they were big buddies and then scout moved to amanda's.

oh, and yesterday was markies first day of orientation. she got sick right before she was to go. puked. at rhodes. went in and they sent her home. great. uuuuggggghhhh. can't argue with puke though. uuuuuggggghhhh. she said her boss was nice, said she had last week. well lets hope it doesn't go against her. uuugggghhhh.

Had a awesome weekend!!

It was totally be-ut-iful!!! i LOVE this weather. so. much. i love not getting hot, not having to wear a jacket, wearing long sleeves to cover up my fat arms, the SMELL of fall. i love it all!!!! bring it on some more!!!!!!

My cousins daughter, which makes her my cousin too, got married this weekend. it is so hard seeing these young ones grow up and start families and knowing you used to CHANGE THEIR DIAPERS! i feel sooooo old, but I'M NOT! i refuse to grow any older.

anyway the wedding was beautiful. the reception was fun. i love watching the kids have fun, and they were. my other cousin had her 3 children there and they are the cutest things. 2 boys and a almost year old girl. we had a blast with them. the girls are just like me and love kids, and these kids are NO exception! they teased them that they were gonna dance with them, and to a 4 and 5 year old boys, that is the most awfulest thing!!! but they did. it was so cute!!! i will have to post pictures when they stop downloading.

i also got to take some pictures of the girls inbetween the wedding and reception. we went to my grandpa's farm and used the barn as our backdrop. waaaayyyyyy cool. let me see if i can download some. hang on.













well i think it worked. lol

last night i continued to sort out all my scrapbooking stuff. OMG. i have to much of everything. it is time to start scrapbooking and stop hoarding all this goodness!!! so i plan on going to the crop on friday night at the store and playing, playing and playing some more!!! on the stamps and scrapbooks blog Rona says to bring what you have been working on to the crop, hmmmm, should i bring all my organized stuff? she would probally be happy to see that too!!!

How Funny!

Ok you know i said previously that i was not happy with my personilize ribbon from the knot. well i have written two reviews now, not good ones i may add. the first one never showed up so i decided to do another one. Now i am usually not this 'mean' but man they made me mad. so i went and did another one, lol. this time i let it post to my blog. how funny. the wonders of modern day electronics!!

oh, i had a brain storm. i think i am gonna do a teens class called Mom and Dad's night out. i'll do it on a fri or sat night. i'll make it from 6 til 10pm and we'll have pizza for supper and do a couple of projects. after saturday's retreat, i'm ready to do some teen and pre-teen classes!! and see, then mom and dad can go out for dinner and do alittle christmas shopping!!! maybe they will buy the teacher a gift! lol

Rainy, Rainy Day....

what a great day to sleep! but since i am at work and they kinda frown on sleeping on the job, i guess i won't! i did go to bed last night at 8. missed charlie (two and half men, my fav! and charlie could just stand there and i would drool. they say he is jerk irl, but heck, who isn't, lol.) and everything. dang it. but then i was up at 1030, 1230, 230, 330, and slept in the chair from 330 til 530. i have got to figure out this cpap thing. i wake up gulping for air. kinda scary and kinda strange it started after i went off that d@%* medicine. i do need the cpap machine, i had a sleep study over a year ago and it said i did, but i never used it. to weird for me and my clostrobic mind. but i have a appt with the resp. therapist so maybe there is something new for me to try. i could just loose weight and it would be all better. hmmmmm. kinda makes that high calorie breakfast i just ate not seem worth it! lol

OMG, markie starts her job thursday. i can't wait. she is already saying she doesn't want to drive to cape for a job. wth? i do it every day. i told her she is NOT quitting this job, so forget it. she is sooooo spoiled it is not even funny.

so sign ups for the Small Town Retreat are on ON!!! I just might have to do angelia and penne's classes myself!!! they are too cute! Nikki hasn't gotten her's done yet, she is really busy and i totally understand. i hope she gets one done!

I just looked over at my shamrock plant (i'm not sure that is the name of it) but that plant is the best! i have had it for probally 7 years and it keeps going. just when i think it has died and there is no hope, it springs back up and then it'll have flowers on it. it is the coolest!!!! it is the only plant i have that i have kept alive!

OMG! Rona got in the new Prima stamps. they make the cutest frames. i can not wait to play with them!!!! fun, fun, fun!

I Love My Friends!!!

ha! thought i hadn't posted again, didn't ya. lol sorry for so long without a post. i'm not really sure why either! lol.

So i have lots to talk about!!!!

first:
This weekend's retreat was a blast. the signup's were down, but the people that did come, were alot of fun!!! and can i say i love my new $1.00 rolly chair i got at the hospital 'gargage' sale!! i'm not sure shannon like it much, i rammed her table as i slid just a little to far!!!! guess ya had to be there. I will say that i love having the younger girls take my classes! not that i don't like you OLD people (i'm just kidding, you know that, since i'm old too, lol) but they were soooo cool! we had three 12/13 yo girls and let me tell ya, they can scrap witht the best of us!!! i sure hope they continue to come to our retreats.

Saturday night we went to my dad's farm in illinois and they had a hay ride for a TON of young kids. we just stayed behind and sat around the fire. now that was real relaxing. i even drank me a couple beers! it is nice to have children who can drive ya! (ok , well only sometimes!)
and not to sound like i'm reliving my younger years, i went to a going away party friday night for one of the doc's in the cath lab and it was at bel-air. it was so much fun!!!!

awww geez. amanda just called and said their dog got hit by a car this morning. they are taking him to the vet, but he can't walk. she is gonna feel so bad. they have left him at neil's mom's until they can get a place ready for him at their house. see, this is why i never had animals. it so heart breaking. but then again they bring so much joy. dang.

OK, WHERE WAS I?

Scout (amanda and neils dog) is gonna be ok. he is gonna stay at the vets tonight with iv's and will get to go home tomorrow. whew!!! wasn't sure i was ready for all that drama.


oh, oh, oh!!! so Mark comes home last night and say's 'ya wanna move to utah?' i told him several months ago that P and G was gonna build a plant out there, so i was like Yeah!!! but only after Markie graduates. i think he was joking, but wouldn't that be fun! he said they hadn't said anything about it yet officially. but i'm not sure he was to happy when i said 'You do know that utah is the scrapbooking capital of the world, don't ya?'. lol priceless! but ya know, i have never moved anywhere on my own, without my parents and family. wouldn't that be fun! he would only have to go out there for 3 years. i think i could stand it! we'll see!!!

well it looks like ck has tried to make up for the HOF mess. i think i can accept their apology. but i am still a little defensive and will be. i subscribe to their mag anymore, don't really like it. my fav is For Keeps. i LOVE that mag!!!!

OMG!! me and markie went to a auction yesterday that amanda and neil were at. we had so much fun. everything was going for like a dollar. it was cool for us!!! i got this OLD camera for a buck!!! it was to much fun. and it was a perfect day!! now i have auction fever!!!

I Love My Friends!!!

Ok, so i have been off my meds for a entire WEEK!!!!! yeah!! i almost wanna cry.


Anyway, the post from saturday was from my house from my laptop. it is sooooo slow and i think it is having some issues, it may need to go to the geek doctor. but anyway can you see the things i got done?? the first thing is my event calendar i am doing for the retreat. it has been so much fun to do. it will make a great gift! i am gonna give one to my sister in law, and not sure to who else. but i picked out the rest of the paper saturday. i got some cool different paper for each month. it was so much fun picking out 12 different lines for one project!!!! lol.

then i made a album for Alisha's shower. it was fun doing a album again!!! i hope she liked it. she made a pre pregnancy one and had it at the shower and it was sooo cute. i love that she loves to scrapbook!!! and she is what, 8 1/2 months pregnant and she looks so cute. when i was that far along, i was misreble! she just glowed!!

Then the third thing is one of those tall skinny tins. i had so much fun decorating that using the Heidi Grace papers. and of course i had to use the new glitter!!! ok, now this is where i get to the part of lovin my friends, lol. i wasn't quite sure what i was gonna put in this tin, maybe some hot cocco mix, BUT Julie had this great idea of putting those long chocolate dipped pretzels in it!! isn't that perfect???? so when i give this away for gifts at christmas people are gonna think i am sooooo smart for making this cute tin just for the pretzels!!!! lol. Really Julie, thank you for the idea!!!! it's the best. That's why i love going to crops, or heck, just running into friends at the store!!!!


Well the old man came back from camping, dang it! i am still not talking to him. thankfully he has to work nights tonight and i am convientley going to do errands this evening and not make it home before he leaves. he'll wonder where his supper is. to bad. Men.

it's Friday. so, so happy! and Mark is gone for the weekend fishing with some friends. Thank goodness. he REALLY made me mad last night and i think i told him i was glad he was leaving. he is gonna pay. i am off my meds and i am feeling a little edgy and he just pushed me over that edge. stupid, stupid man. enough of that!


SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i went to the store yesterday and she had gotten in TWO of my fav's that i have been waiting on to come in. PAGE FRAMES AND QUEEN AND CO. oh my, my, my. i love those clear albums. i have so many ideals. i do. i am going back today to get me another package of the BIG Circle's. i want to do some for the wedding. and then the smaller packages of hearts stars circle, well those are way to cool. so many uses! i plan on doing Christmas ornaments, gift tags, page embellies, oh the possiblities!!! I got a book too, not sure which shape, but i'm gonna do a Chloe book. i. can't. wait.!!!! ok then the Queen and Co. i love, love, love the new felt cut outs on the roll. OH MY HECK! I love the christmas shaped ones, the winter shaped ones, the scrolls. ALL OF IT!!!! so i went looking for some paper to go with the winter themed felt and found this AWESOME Heidi Grace paper and some chipboard embellies (for 4 bucks! OMG! and whole sheet!) and it is sooooo pretty. there is this flocked paper. be still my heart! i just may have to buy every single piece of it. (just kidding) it is sooooo pretty!! so i am hyped. i am ready to scrap. the husbands gone. i'm mad at him so i don't care what i spend (not that it ever matters, lol). so i'm scrapping tonight at my house and if ya wanna come, come on up!!! my house is a mess and i don't intend to clean it so you will have to deal with that! lol

ok i sure hope it is busy here today and the day goes like super fast cause it is beautiful out and i don't want to work!!!!

I hope i survive!

So i haven't taken any of the yucky medicine since sunday night. i am having awful dizziness, ringing in my ear, and just all around weird feeling. but i think i can handle it! yeah!!! but i do feel a little more edgy! lol. examples:

Markie's car agreement said she could not have a grade lower than a c at anytime. i haven't threatened to take away the car, it's the beginning of the year, i will give her a break. that was wrong. SOOOO grades come out next week. i am gonna call the secretary today and get her grades. if she has anything lower than a c, you will see me driving her car!!! she freaked out this morning. "but Josh is coming home". um, so. she is freaking out. totally. and i hope she learns something from this. i think she has a d+. but is not her fault. so i ask her whose it is. can't answer that. she tries she really does. BUT she NEVER brings a book home. NEVER. NEVER studies for a test. she says it's her test that bring her down. uh, duh. you don't study for them that is what happens. plus she has ADD and she NEEDS to be in a different room than everyone else when she takes her test, but she doesn't think so. so i'm not gonna make her. maybe she will listen to me, maybe not. now she's saying Josh will break up with her if she doesn't see him. um ok. I see no problem with that. He is 19, doesn't have a license or car so the only way he can see her is if she picks him up and she drives. oh the joys of having teenagers!

then i order some personilized ribbon from 'The Knot', it's a online wedding site that you can order things from. well, the personilzation (names and date of wedding) rubs off. so i email them. this is their response 'The ribbon is personalize with foil its not embroider so please be careful with the foil ink. The personalize ink is very flakey so please don't touch it when it dries.' well what are you suppose to do with it. unroll it and look at it. and i paid 30 bucks for 100 ft. i emailed them back and i was not nice. lol

Monday Again

I couldn't get outta bed again this morning. I felt like i was gonna throw up if i moved. ugggggghhhhh. that medicine has got to go. i am gonna try to take my final dose thurday. we will see. ok enough of that!! had a great weekend scrappin at a all day crop saturday with Penne. Angela and Mary was there too. it was great!!!

Is it ever gonna be Fall??? I think Brian said on the news this morning that by the end of the week it should cool down alittle. i sure hope so!!!!

Mark is gonna go camping and trout fishing with the guys this weekend so i will be free to do what i want!!!! Since Josh is only home on weekends, Markie will be at his house, sooooo, whats a person to do??? lol. gotta make some plans fast!!!

She Got a Job!!

YEAH!!! i'm so excited! Culver's called her last night. i really hope she likes it. it seems like such a cool company to work for. i went with her to the open interview, to make sure she went, just gotta know markie. and one of the owners that started the company (i think) started talking to me and dang, i almost wanted to work there!!! lol i think she is excited too since it will be brand new. the only thing that bothers me is that it is in cape. but she has a cell phone and can call me when she leaves and all that good stuff. it was hard when amanda started working in cape and had to leave late at night. i/we will survive!!!

well, i am off tomorrow and i may get to go meet my friends new baby she adopted. i'm so excited. it is so cool. and i am so happy for therese. she is the coolest person. she deserves happiness!

soooooo tomorrow night is the crop at the store, can't wait! i had so much fun at crop pink, i want to continue having fun!!! mark has been really cool about me scrapping (which he never really says i can't, just has some smart a$$ remark, lol) and when i told him i was gonna go to another scrap pink in dexter on saturday, he didn't say anything. it could of been because i said i would bring him home some hickory log ribs, lol. we love hickory log ribs. yummy. when i told him about it i had it all rehersed about scrapping and getting ribs so i said it real fast! lol he didn't have time to get mad!! (really he wouldn't, just those smart remarks!) soooo i'm excited about going there too! no one will know me, so i have to be good. hmmmm. wonder if i can do it. lol.

Mark went and helped Amanda and Neil put up some lighting fixtures. me and markie stayed home. markie has another bladder infection and didn't feel good. it was time for my ycuky medicine so i stayed home too. amanda probally thinks i hate her, but when i have to take this crap i might as well go to bed. hopefully it won't last to much longer. although, i can tell i'm not on it much anymore. stupid people are making me angry again, lol. kinda just kidding. lol i had a run in with the school nurse yesterday. haven't went to the principle yet. but i will. i keep telling myself that i have only a year and half left.

so i was telling ya about scrap pink this weekend, well while i was at the store saturday i picked up a cool new magazine. it's called 'for keeps (yeah! they don't capitalize either!) creative scrapbooking'. it is the coolest! it is just my style. i love all the stuff they put on the pages. the bright pages. the flowers. the bing. oh, i am in love. yes it is pricey at 10.00, but dang wear you tshirt and get it 20% off!!! it is worth it!!! i have a new love that has all my loves in one place!!!!! lol. ok. i did freak out a bit at first. it is a Austrialian (sp) publication. it kind of freaked me out (yeah, i know easy to do) when it said in the editor's journal that she was more than ready to say goodbye to the chilling august winds and hello to spring blossoms. huh?? ok, so i'm still confused. ok i have lived a sheltered life and i DID NOT pay attention in geography (shhh, don't tell Markie). so help me here. right now they are preparing for spring and summer while we are preparing for fall and winter. that does make sense i guess. never really thought about it, never had any reason too. but that would mean christmas in middle of summer? am i right? or am i loosing it. ok, don't answer that one. don't want to know the answer esp since i am going off my medicine. (didn't want you to forget that! lol) so someone please fill me in on this one.

Yesterday we took a table and chairs to amanda and neils that a friend of ours gave them. they put in their basement. then we went to walmart in perryville. man it is really nice. they have remodeled. but we left Chloe with amanda while we went and Amanda said she freaked out. thought we left her for good. she was sooooo happy to see us!!! she is a sweetie. well not to mark. he took her outside this morning and she came back in and pee'd in the hallway. ooppsie. i could hear him spank her all the way in my room. of course i jumped up out of bed to save her, well not really. she needed to be scolded, but mark was MAD! so i cleaned it up and she just layed there flat on the floor and looked up at me with those big eyes. she knew she had did something wrong, poor baby. i don't think she iwll do it again!!!

tomorrow is band fest and my photography class. i don't know what to do. do i go to my class or to see markie twirl. what is a mother to do? it's hard being a parent sometimes!!!

Fun, Fun, Fun Day!!!

so i went to the Scrap Pink Crop today. It was a blast! i had so much fun particapating in all the fun! i won a nice arrangement donated by sweetheart florist. that was really sweet of becky to do. (ha, no pun intended!!!) all the prizes rona had were exceptional! bags of awesome goodies, a pink rolling tote (way to go angelia!!), books. and silent auction was cool too! a really pretty wreath and a 50 dollar saving bond. cool, cool, cool. it was fun hanging out with friends. so good to see stormy and glad she got to come and have alittle fun. i had fun aggrevating Ashtyn too. Now that is one twelve year old that can SCRAP!!!! she mad a very cute accordian book of her new puppy buttons. Awesome!!! she is too cute.

I Told You So.

ever want to tell that to someone, especially your children? OMG. i wanted to tell that to Markie sooooo bad last night. should of. probally still will. lol. so she HAD to color her hair. now i have been giving her soooooo much money, she is breaking me. first i have to pay for her car payment cause she doesn't have a job, but i have to pay insurance and gas and whatever else. she is killing me. i say no. she comes up with somehting else. anyway she wanted to dye her hair. i said i wasn't gonna pay for her to get it done at a beauty shop. sooooo she went to walmart and bought a bottle of color by herself. i told her it was WAY to dark, but she was smarter than me and did it anyway and now her hair is BLACK, very black. she hates it. i won't pay to have it fixed by a hairstylist. sorry. but damnit i told her so. and i was like OMG it is BLACK and she says, don't make me feel any worst i know it's black. but it is. i wish i could say 'she may listen to me now', but she won't. no way. lol. so i can laugh. and i will. cause i am a evil mom!!!! lol

i did pay for her to get her hair cut and eyelashes waxed. she then went to the colvers (did i spell that right?) job interviews before she dyed her hair. they were very nice and i hope she gets the job. there were not very many people there about 5 and they were gonna be there until 8 and again on saturday. it would be cool, then we could go there and eat alot. they have the best food. their new location is on kingshighway sort of by taco bell. they will open the end of september first of october. i talked who i think is the owner for several minutes and he was very nice. he was from way up north somewhere. say a prayer she's gets a job!!!!

Man what do i do. i want to go camping this weekend, my cousin and her family are going and the weather is gonna be awesome! but we need to do stuff around the house, and i want to go crop pink. but it is gonna be gorgous out. what to do, what to do. uggggggghhhhhhhhh.

Scrap Pink

all these clouds and very little rain. i wish it would just rain a slow nice cool rain for about 24 hours. the plants need it, my car needs washing and then maybe it turn cooler! i am afraid we are gonna go from steaming hot to coat cold. i hate that!!! i want a nice weekend where i can work out in my yard :O (for those of you who know me, that is a laugh! but i really need to get some things done!)

My friend who is adopting from Guatemala should be bringing her sweet, adorable baby girl Grace home on friday. i got a email from her yesterday and she is officially reconzied in the US as therese and jared's baby girl!!! if you know anyone who has adopted you know that it is a really long grueling process. I know it is needed, but geez. they have been waiting over a year. i just try and keep thinking it takes 10 months to have a baby so this is not much longer, it just seemed longer cause Grace was born on Sept 22 2006 (amanda's birthday!) and we have been seeing updates of her for a year. I can't wait to meet her. WOW!

Well i had my first photography class last night. the instructor was awesome. i felt like he was talking to me and he talked in terms i could understand. i'm so excited to be actually learning about my camera. that thing is alot smarter than i knew, and it can be alot more complicated if you want it to be. i didn't go to bed til after 1030!!! and i feel pretty good today! lol

well i'm ALMOST off this awful drug efexxor. i hate it. hopefully it will only be a couple more weeks. i feel like i have missed a whole year while on this medicine. i want my energy back. i don't want to sleep all the time. but i also don't want to be a b!%&* either, lol. i am working on it. i hope my family is patient with me.

another thing i am going to work on is wearing my cpap at night. Dr G seems to think that is my problem and if i can get some good nights sleep, i will be a whole different person. i'm sure he is right. i just hate wearing that thing. i don't like anything out of the ordinary, esp when i sleep! BUT i am gonna work on it, i promised myself.

ok i have to say this before i win the random drawing on the rusty pickle blog so you don't think my opinion is swayed in any way (lol, like i'll win!) but i am really liking their new stuff. don't get me wrong, i have always liked their stuff, but i am REALLY liking the new stuff. and the new acrylic albums, yum!!! i sure wish rona would get the ones she ordered in. they are toooo cute. and the small ones will be oh to cute for ornaments!!!! i need to ask her if she has heard from them!

Monday, Monday

remember that song? lol i hate mondays. that means i have to go back to work. and here i am. i want to go part time sooooo bad. i am just now working on mark, telling him all the advangtages to it. all he cares about is the disadvangtages, lol. see i would like to go part time after the wedding. that is my goal. i need to work and make as much for that as i can. and i will be at sfmc 25 years in february. and that means i get a retention bonus. yeah!!! i really do have a job with great benefits. it's just coming here everyday when i could be home scrapbooking and all that cool stuff! i have a goal and i am working towards it!

Tomorrow night i start my photography classes at votech. i'm excited about it, and it will bring me one more step towards my goal. i want start photography. just small stuff (ohhh idea just popped in my head!) like toddlers and hs seniors. that is my interest! no weddings (to much pressure!). a girl i work with is taking them too, so it should be cool. she has a canon rebel too. i am still dreaming of winning that 30D from coke. yeah right. lol

My aunt from arizona was in this weekend. got to see her and it was a fun time. haven't seen her since my uncle passed away SIX years ago. seems like forever ago. Her granddaughter is the one i was gonna go to the wedding to in cali. she had pictures and it made me sad that i couldn't be there, but happy to see my cousins, if only in pictures! it looked like a beautiful wedding. i sooooooo wish i could of went. such is life!

so i did get some scrappin done this weekend. i played a bit and had some fun. can't wait for the Scrap Pink crop this weekend. should be alot of fun. i did two pages for prizes or whatever and i'm gonna do some kits too. I used the new prima sprites flowers. they are soooooo cool. i wanted to work on my recipe lunch box using the new bo bunny sunflower paper, but i didn't. maybe i will bring it with me to the crop. i'm gonna use my basic grey lunch box that i have had like FOREVER! i love the new bo bunny paper too. sooo much fun!
I've got to get my classes for the october retreat done too, it will be here SOON! i have the ideals, which are: a 2 hour class doing a double page of Fancy Pants, a 2 page 3 bugs layout and you get a whole page of alpha's with it, a inspriation notebook (this is gonna be a cool class. i made one of these about a month ago after seeing angelia's and thought "i should that" and i did and i'm hooked! trust me, just trust me! lol) then a 2 page dream street lo using sweet confeciton and last but surely not least a 2 page lo using the rusty pickle pink and black paper (i hope there is some left!) at least i have my idea's so it shouldn't take me very long to get them done.

don't forget to mark your calendars for the next small town girls retreat on Nov. 10th. it is gonna be awesome!!! for my class i am gonna do a event calendar. i can't wait!!!

well the shower went off without a snag yesterday day. i wish i would of done more. i haven't done one of these in a long time! then yesterday afternoon we had amanda's 20th birthday party yesterday. just my parents, marks parents, his sister and family and boyfriend, and tim and sydney. my little house was full. but it was nice. and neil got a good meal! lol markie's boyfriend Josh even came. i think he is afraid of us. lol.

well better go and get busy again. i started watching coyote ugly again. i love this show, but i have seen it many times. just another distraction. send me some get moving vibes please!!!

OMG!!!!!!!

ok, so i haven't been having the best week. poor me. my house is a mess. poor me. i'm tired all the time. poor me. i'm broke all the time no matter how much money we make or get. yada yada yada. lol but today i got the most exciting news!!!!! i can't quite tell yet, but it is about one of my cool friends. she is embarking on a brand new 'adventure' in her life. it is so exciting. she got the news she has been waiting for like a whole year!!!!!!! i am so excited for her i can hardly think!

wheew. kinda makes all my me poor me's go away!!! lol

Long Time No Talk!

sorry about that!!!! the retreat was a blast. tiring, but a total blast!!!! we got alot of idea's for the next retreat. it should be bigger and better!!!

i was off today and got very little done. took Chloe to petco, she loves going there. she is so funny. of course she had to poop right in the middle of a isle. she gets so excited!! got her a new squecky ball and she is in heaven. she loves the squeak!!! she's a princess!

then i went into target for a few seconds and left her in the car, it was sooooo pretty today. of course she barked at everyone who walked by. help me, help me. but i was only in there a few seconds and i got FOUR bags of stuff from the dollar spot. they had the red dot stuff on 75% off! OMG!!! good stuff, good stuff!

stopped by the shop and trying to get my fancy pants class together. me and nikki are gonna do a all day fancy pants retreat, don't know when yet. we planned it at cha and still have to finalize it.

didn't get much done at home, this medicine is kicking my butt. i just want off the stupid s*%$. it is making me hurt all over and feel just uuugghhh.

i did get the nasty refrigerator cleaned out and some clothes done. i started on amanda's room, it is awful! she left it a mess and dirty. can't say much, cause i probally did the same thing and my mom wanted to kill me too!!! lol.

I got email the other day from a lady who was soooo nice. i get the email for the shop cause rona gives my email addy for the yahoo group. anyway she was sooooo nice and was saying how great a store rona has. that was way to cool!

geez it's almost 7pm and i have nothing to cook for supper. no meat. what am i gonna do. mark will be home in 45 minutes and i have nothing!!! lol. hhhhmmmmmmm.

well i work tomorrow then off for 4 days!!! yippppeeeee. the reason, as markie reminded me was we were going to go to california and we should be there right now.

so i was telling how i made up those bridal shower invites the other night. well today i get a call from my aunt and she says she's pissed at me. oh geez, what have i done now, lol. well it seems i left the guts (you know, the info- who, what, where, when) out of the inside of the invite. oooppppsss. lol we laughed. i said i was glad it was her and i hoped no one else got one like that!!!

Well the reality that Amanda is finally moved out has hit. not a bad thing, just i feel old. Markie feels like a only child. i'm thinking she kinda likes it. Her and Amanda do get along alot better. lol her room is still a mess, but after this saturday i'm goin in and cleaning it out!!! then look out! lol

Well only 2 more sleeps til the retreat. i had better get moving on some of the stuff i have to do!!!!

so last night i made about 25 bridal shower invites and got them all done, yippeee! they are for my cousins daughter, who is like a niece to me. she is getting married the end of october. no one had told me about hte shower so i had to call my cousin, her actual aunt. not sure if they had tought about it or not. my aunt (her grandma) usually takes care of all that and she has cancer (and is doing great!) and i didn't want to bother her with it. she was gonna have it at her house and i said NO. NO way. so i get to organize it, which i just sorta took it over, i'm just that way! lol i love organizing stuff, really i do. that is why i'm loving the planning of amanda's wedding. and i like seeing how much i can get for less money! to much fun! so that was my evening. oh and making supper. fun! oh and arguing with a 16 year old. she is so, so, so, ugghhh!!!

i did get to see Becky, Rona's sister yesterday. Rona's Mother's husband passed away over the weekend and Becky and her 2 daughters came home for the funeral. Becky is the sweetest person, much nicer than Rona, lol. (can you hear her saying "HEEEEEYYYY", cause i can! lol) Becky says she is going home on saturday, but i think she should stay until sunday so she can come play with us on saturday! soooo if you see her at the shop, tell her that!

ok i have a rant. why is it that when i NEED something i can not find it. like a bone folder, last night for the invites. no where to be found. i KNOW i have like 2 of them, but could not find either of them. ugghhhh. but i did find some glossy accents--two whole bottles. Never mind that i just BOUGHT a new bottle last weekend cause my bottle was almost empty. do you know how long that stuff lasts? like FOREVER! I HAVE TO CLEAN AND ORGANIZE MY SCRAPROOM. it is awful. now i am off next thrusday thru tuesday cause i was gonna go to california for my cousins daughters wedding, but now i'm not, so maybe i should take off and organize my room. AND i have amanda's empty room to put stuff in while i work in my room. maybe i should take everything completely out and start ALL OVER!!! hmmmm. better think on that one!

Tuesday! just can't seem to get it thru my thick skull that today is tuesday!!! although when friday comes, i will seem like friday!!! I can not believe that the Small Town Girl (stg) retreat is this weekend. i can't wait. it is a dream come true! lol i really enjoy planning things and this has been fun. i hope everything goes off as i want. you know i love watching those shows on tv where they plan parties, weddings, ect. i watched some this weekend while we were camping. (yes we take the satalite!) i wish i lived in a bigger city where i could do it full time. oh well, i do like small town living too.

so did you have a great weekend? we went camping at Sam A. Baker and had a blast. the weather was just awesome. Sunday it started getting hot again, but friday and saturday was gorgeous! we even built a fire to keep warm at night! i love camping!!! i even took my scrappin stuff and did alittle bit. i made a name tag that we'll use for the stg retreat. pink and blingy!!! check it out on the stg blog http://smalltowngirlswithbigideas.blogspot.com/ . also the amazing Nikki took pictures of the projects and they are also on the stg blog. I Can Make It, I Can Make It,

I only have today to get thru and then i have a FOUR day weekend!!! Yeah! we are going camping at sam a baker, we will have completed our 5 weekend camping at 5 different camp grounds in missouri!! we are dorks! lol we get a patch or something. whoo hooo! we are going camping with tim and billie and of course ms. sydney! we totally enjoy her! she is 3 and a half and full of life! she is sooooo much fun. and of course we are going to have some yummy food. tim went to Essner's in kelso/benton, whereever they are and got some chicken breast. these things are THE best i have ever had. Norman marinates and turns the chicken breast for several hours. YUMMY!! (oooohhhhhh. i think i just had a idea (or is it ideal?) for the november retreat!!! yeah, we could george forman them right there in the store. ohhhhh. awesome ideal!!!! salad, dessert, rolls, drink, that's it!!! meun all done for the novemeber retreat!)

well Markie is feeling better, she went to school today. i hope she makes it. and they better let her go to the bathroom whenever she needs to. i shouldn't have to call school for a 16year old girl to be let out of class to use the restroom, but i probally will have to. uuugggghhhh.

well i am almost off my effexor. it is my 'happy' medicine that i have been taking for some months and it did make me happy, but it also made me sleep and sleep and sleep. and you just can't go off it cold turkey. no, no,no. i'm not sure i would of taken it if i knew how hard it is to go off. seriously.

OMG! i went to see dr Ruopp yesterday and he helped my back soooo much. i think i love that man!!!! first they put those electric things on my back and neck area. can you say ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. then the girl used a machine messager thingy and OMG it was the bomb. then Dr Ruopp popped my back and neck. now that kinda freaks me out, espcially the neck one, but ooohhhhhhh it felt good!!! my back kinda hurts today, but not like it was.

Good Wednesday Morning!!!

Well it is hump day. only one more day of work for me and then i have a FOUR day weekend. and boy am i ready for it!!!! Amanda has officially moved out, her bed is gone and all that is in her room is some trash and a few of her clothes (which for a normal person, that would be their whole wardrobe! lol). kinda sad, but another step in the life cycle i suppose. they have been working hard on getting the house painted and fixed up. my mom and dad have been going up almost every night. i haven't, i am the bad mom. i feel bad, but man, i had the retreat to get ready this past weekend. sunday i had to do stuff around the house and then i went up there. at least i bought them supper! monday we went up and set up her bedroom suite and took them supper. last night i just couldn't go. i had a pain in my back/neck that i laid on the heating pad until markie stole it from me. i finally went to bed at 830. thank goodness i have a chiropractor appt today! yeah. Markie has a bladder infection that is causing her lots of pain. i'm pumping her full of cranberry juice and water. she thought fluids meant mt dew. um, no. lol. poor thing when the doctor came in and told her she had a bladder infection, her first thing was 'am i gonna die?' that is always her first question, lol. she is paranoid!!!!

Well the Small Town Girls Retreat signup's are going great! can't wait for the retreat. we have some fun stuff in store for everyone who signs up. we had a brain storming session yesterday, so look out. when you get 4 brains like ours together, who knows what will happen!!! got what is probally gonna be the final proof of the tshirt design this morning and it is really CUTE!!!! even if you can't come to the retreat, you gotta get a tshirt. for around 10 bucks, how can you not!!!! they are gonna be brown with pink flowers and white writing. very cool!

We also set our next retreat date for November 10th. this is the weekend deer season starts and is the weekend before the craft fairs. mark it on your calendars!!! for this retreat we are gonna focus on christmas gift giving. wait til you see what we have up our sleeves!! we have so many idea's we can't possibly do them all!

quick post

sooo i'm on the dinasour of the home computer, so this is very short. I had a blast this weekend at the retreat. i LOVE my scrapbook friends. you all are sooooo COOL!!! it was a very long day, but geez, it went by so fast. and poor barb, becky, kathy, and nancy, they probally think i am crazy!!!! we did a class after the retreat. so much fun, but i was probally getting slap happy by then, lol.

i wanted to let you know that sign ups for the small town girls retreat have started and we are going to have a BLAST at this retreat. the projects are to die for!!!!

ok gotta go to walmart then to the 'new' house. i'm not sure how much of a help i will be today, but i HAVE to show up. maybe i'll take some really good food and they won't even notice if i'm not doing anything!!!! lol

Ittttttt'sssss Frrrrriiiiiiiiiiday!!!!!!!!!

and i am so happy!!! i am really happy! i can't wait for the retreat tomorrow, i just wish every thing was ready for it! oh well i have allllll night. lol

Amanda and Neil signed on the house yesterday and started work last night. i think she is mad at me for not helping, but i have all this stuff to do. i have a life too! and we weren't expecting them to get it this soon. so i guess i will spent all day sunday there. i hope they are ready to paint, although i hate to paint, i hate to clean even more. last night mom and amanda was down in the basement in the shower drain and they found a SNAKE. a baby COPPERHEAD. uugghhhh. then they found a frog. lol. manda says they are getting the house sprayed next week! welcome to the real world. i really need to get my house sprayed too.
I think Markie is doing good in school, nothing bad yet, except for some comments from a stupid boy that better watch out or i will fix him. with one call. although i think markies friend (can't say boyfriend!) called him and took care of it, lol.
I really don't think i am gonna be able to go to california, i just can't seem to keep hope that maybe i will be able too.
My friend Therese and her husband Jared are adopting a sweet baby girl from guatmala (sp) and have been in the process for over a year. they got awesome news this week that it is nearing the final stages and they will probally get to bring her home in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait. she is so cute in her pictures and her name is Grace. Therese will be a great mommy! i can't wait to finally meet Grace in person.

that is me. big time. the best of the best. ok so I have to get my classes ready for the retreat classes this weekend. i have to have examples of the classes and kits for the sept 8th retreat by saturday too. AND i have been wanting to submit for the piggy tales dt for along time and guess when that deadline is? friday. when did i start? monday, this week. why? because i work better under pressure. BUT not this MUCH pressure. so i do have 2 of the three lo's done. i still have to do a card and a altered project. so here is my delemia-- i don't have to use piggy tales product on the last lo, so do i just use one of my recent lo's and then do a altered project and card and relieve some of the STRESS, or go ahead and do a third lo with totally all piggy tales? or get the rest of my stuff done and then see where i'm at and do what i feel like doing then. that sounds good to me.
Basic Grey came in the store yesterday. didn't go in yesterday, i have to get this stuff done!!!
Me and amanda went and looked at the baptist church in jackson and at candlelabra's at busy bee's candles. since i got married at 1st baptist in jackson and busy bee's did my candles, it felt kinda wierd, lol. i want to get as much of this stuff done now so we can get what we/she wants and don't have to settle for things if they are already booked. kwim?

Piggy Tales!!!!!

Almost Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah!!! although we are having friends up for supper and my house is a diaster, totally. Why am i the only one who does anything. i have tried to leave it dirty (which it is!) and messy (it is) to see if anyone will help me. NO. NADA. i asked mark to take out the trash, please, because it had food in it and it was really gonna stink if it wasn't taken out. NADA. still there this morning. granted it is not very hard to do and i could just do it myself like i do ALL the time, but i thought he might help me once. no. nada. so i do that this morning. then chloe pee'd in the hallway. uuugghhh. yes i took her out way to early last night, yes i didn't take her out as soon as i got up, yes she has a urinary tract infection. and yes she pee'd in my hall. i spanked her (not hard, she is a princess you know) just so she knows she is not suppose to do that. i run to get paper towels and about cut my hand off on a knife that was suppose to be put up by Markie last night after i begged her to put the dishes up in the dish washer. )which by the way is one of her only jobs, that and folding the towels.) instead of putting them in the wood block she lays them on top of the freezer BY the block. soooo she is mad at me because i woke her not-so-happy butt up 600am to put 3 little knifes into the wooden block where they belong. oooohhhhh can you say mad? and i'm glad. then she says 'don't get mad at me cause YOUR dog did something wrong.' WTH. ohhhhhhhh! so then not that i hadn't yelled enough, i yelled at her for taking my clothes out of the nice dryer and throwing them on the couch where they are now nice and wrinkled. poor thing had to wash her own clothes. for shame. her awful mother won't go into her dangerously messy room and collect all the clothes strung everywhere and take them and wash them, even though some of them are perfectly clean i might add. (breathe) sooooo tonight i am going home and cleaning house cause i invited my very nice friends up for supper tomorrow night and i can not let anyone in the front door with the house looking the way it does. BUT. BUT. BUT. why do i have to do it all. oh well. so here's my plan. (sorry if you are reading this and you are thinking, this lady is crazy!!! but i'm pretty sure the only one reading is penne, my gooooood friend penne, lol!) tonight i am going to clean, clean, clean and clean some more. and when i'm scrapbooking when mark comes home from work and there is no supper, well, sorry i forgot. and markie is gonna be very upset when she can't go out this weekend. to bad. i'm done. sorry for the rant.

so i just read my post. sorry if you read it. it is a total b%t$* post and i am sorry. i would delete it, but boy did it feel good. i think i will leave it there, just for a reminder. lol

No Title, Not Very Creative Today

Well i had a 3 day weekend. Man i love those!!!! didn't do anything to exciting. Well, i spent most of the day saturday at S&S getting things ready for the aug 25th retreat and for the small town girls retreat on Sept 8th. Sunday me and mom took markie to goodies and bought her some school clothes. she is a bear to shop with, let me tell ya. she doesn't like the clearence racks (wth??? i'm not sure she is my child!!) so we usually don't agree on anything. But Sunday was a little different. she got several shirts and pants and we all agreed on them!!!!! yeah! that made my week! Monday i was off from work and i had to take Chloe to the vet. she ended up having a urinary trach infection and i dropped $140.00 on her, between her heart worm medicine, flea and tick, and her 2 pills and spray she has to have for the uti. poor baby. she is still not feeling 100%. after the vet we went by s&s and chloe entertained anyone who came in. she is such a sweet dog. i hope she didn't bother anyone. she got so tired she was dragging around the store. poor baby.

ahhhh, markie starts school TOMORROW!!!!! yippe!!! i think she is ready too. i hope so.

Planned activities include:
1-2pm Technique Bazaar ~ Free for participants
2-2:45pm Class with Cynde
3:00-3:45pm Class with Nikki
4:00-4:45pm Class with Penne
5:00-6:30pm Class with Angela

6:30pm Supper

7:15pm~12:00am Time to work on purchased kits
with the help of instructors all evening.

First eleven people to sign up for all four classes
and supper receive a free gift.

Technique Bazaar will consist of learning new techniques that will be included in the classes and kits that will be for sale by each instructor. Techniques that will be included, but not limited to, are Distressing, Inking, Ranger products, glueing, using stencil’s, sewing on your pages, and more. If you have anything you are wanting to learn, please let Rona know and she can pass it on to us and we will be sure to cover it!

Classes offered will be each teacher’s own creation and examples will be displayed several weeks in advance. These will be taught in a classroom like environment and if you choose all four classes you will be able to stay in the same seat for each class.

Supper will include bottomless homemade spaghetti, seven layer salad, garlic bread, chocolate eclair and strawberry lemonade or tea. Cost is $6.00. Snacks will also be served during the evening. This will be a surprise!

We will also be purchasing t~shirts to sell. If you are interested and want to make sure you get your size please tell Rona or email me at cyndesharok@hotmail.com and I will make sure you get one. I am estimating the cost of the t~shirts will be less than $10.00.

This retreat is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I hope you will considering coming and enjoying a evening of fun with friends that enjoy the same hobby as you do! Hopefully this is a first of many more to come!!

Sign up's will be August 25th at the retreat. I'm so looking forward to this!!!!! I really enjoy spending time with you guys. i'm hoping this will be a little more laid back than the regular monthly retreats and i will have more time to hang out!!!!!

So I Was Off Yesterday.....

and i felt like i got alot done in my scrapbook room. but then i went into my bedroom and seen all the stuff on my bed that i took out of there, and i'm not to sure. i do have my desk top back in my room and i shouldn't have to use the kitchen table for a while. i just don't know what to do with all the boxes full of stuff. i really am trying to organize, but my add mind is hendering it. but i do have light at the end of the tunnel. read on....



so amanda and neil are moving ahead with the loan on the house. they did put a down payment down, well neil did. for all purposes, it is NEIL'S house and not amanda's, but when they get married it will be both of theirs, lol. They went and got their appliance's last night and got a really good deal with 18 months same as cash. they are doing a great job and neil is really level headed and amanda is really trying too! lol. they got a stove, refrigerator, and a washer and dryer. wish we could go ahead and start painting, but it will be getting cooler outside, so maybe waiting is a good thing. I am very proud of both of them and I feel they are ready for this and are looking at it in a good way. Neil is a great worker and amanda had been putting in alot of hours herself. i just hope she remembers she NEEDS to return to college. i understand if she wants to take a year off, if that is what she is gonna do. but i want her to go back.



so that brings me to more room for MY stuff!!! with amanda moving out her room will be available. now who is gonna get it. Markie wants to tear down the wall and make her room bigger (not gonna happen), Mark wants it for his stuff (hmmm, we'll see), and i want it for my extra stuff. now i don't have a very good arguement since i do already have a scrapbook room, but I NEED MORE ROOM. i think if i can at least get rid of the computer i will be happy, so that is what i am going for, and maybe alittle of the closet space. i don't think that is to much to ask for.
we'll see.

Shhhhh! don't tell

Rona I posted this, lol. she got a bunch of stuff in today, like Technique Tuesday, 7 gypies, may arts (cooooollllll ribbon), Luxe, and Stampin Station. fun, fun, fun!!!! i think i am feeling sick and i need to go home! i really need a sanity day (a day i can do what I WANT TO DO!) i think i will work on that today.

i was up at 4 am this morning, what the heck? so i started scrapbooking and it was 540 before i knew it! geeezzzzz. now i am gonna have to go home and take a nap when i get off, not. i will be at stamps and scrapbooks checking out that new stuff!!!!!

Markie is gonna meet me for lunch. she loves her new car and will do anything for me that involves driving.

Had a Great Weekend

We went camping this weekend, which was HOT but nice. we went to Mermac State Park up by sullivan mo. it was a really nice park with over 200 sites , and thank goodness we had reservaitons, cause they were FULL! it would be a great place to camp and float. very pretty river, water clean and camp ground nice. we decided to camp here because we are trying to do a thnig that mo conservation is doing where you camp in 5 state parks you get something, so we have one more park to go!!! plus we stayed there so we would be sorta close to st louis. we went to a ducks unlimited appreciation day at anheuser busch saturday. talk about very nice. it was. great food, good drinks, and we got to get our picture taken with a clausdale (i CAN not spell that, think big very pretty horse!) It was a great weekend!!!

Markie got her car on friday and we left right after adn she went with us. she didn't complain very much all weekend, like i might of thought. she sure is lovin' that car now though. lol. she starts volleyball this evening. she will be a bear cause she is outta shape. that'll teach her to lay around all summer, or not. lol

Amanda is busy working, and working, and working. She said this weekend was nuts at new york and company with the tax free weekend. she worked alot. her and neil are getting excited about the house. she is gonna go look for some furniture tomorrow at a thrift shop that the lady they bought the house from works at. i hope she finds something!!!

i so want to go to my cousins daughters wedding in california next month, but i'm not sure i'm gonna be able to swing it. with the new car and all, i might need to stay here and work. i wish i was rich!!!!! lol

been thinking more about the 'small town girls with big idea's' retreat september 8th. i sure hope it turns out like i'm hoping. i have lots of plans!!!!

on a sad note, a girl on the veggie site that i always loved to read her posts and comments died this past weekend. so unexpected and fast. thoughts and prayers for her family. remember life is short and you just never know.

One More Day

to get up and come to work. that really is the hardest part of the whole day....getting outta that nice comfy bed and taking a shower and heading to work. and throw in a dull headache and ti makes it 10x worst. but i'm here now and i still want to go back home to my comfy bed! oh well. i'd really like to go home and scrapbook. but my house is soooooo awfully disorganized, that is not even a possibility, lol.



we're gonna sign for the loan on the car today, i hope i can get mark over to do it. maybe we can get the car sooner than friday so markie can drive it some before we go camping this weekend.
